Expressions of interest for coopted members.

We are currently seeking three community representatives to be members of the Creative Communities subcommittee.

The purpose of the subcommittee is to make decisions about the allocation of funds from Creative New Zealand through the Creative Communities funding scheme.

The subcommittee meets twice a year (usually May and November) to set local priorities, assess applications and make funding decisions. Coopted members will receive an allowance for attending these meetings and must also be available to attend a Creative Communities briefing prior to taking up a position on the subcommittee. These meetings are held during the day.

Subcommittee members must have a comprehensive knowledge of Auckland city's community arts sector and should reflect Auckland city's demographic diversity (especially cultural and ethnic).

While applicants may have a particular area of interest in the arts, a broad-based knowledge of arts activities or organisations would be helpful. Applicants must also reside within Auckland city boundaries.

Please contact Lee Manaia, committee manager, Auckland City, phone 307 7576 or email lee.manaia@aucklandcity.govt.nz for an application form. Applications close at 4pm on Friday, 25 February 2005.
