PRELIMINARY NOTICE: CONFERENCE ON AUSTRALIANS AND NEW ZEALANDERS IN CHINA, 1800-2000 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA 2006

ABSTRACTS Abstracts of approximately 250 words are invited within the themes below. Speaking time will be 40 minutes, with ten minutes afterwards for questions and comments. Papers by postgraduate students are invited.

FUNDING No funding assistance is available.
CONFERENCE FEES The conference fee is $A275. One day fee of $A100. No sessional fees. No free list. Fees include morning and afternoon tea and a light lunch each day.
NON-ACADEMIC INTERESTS Family historians who have connections with China are welcome.
GENDER PREFERENCE Proposals for papers on the contribution of women will be given priority in scheduling.
