American Council of Learned Societies
The American Council of Learned Societies is a private non-profit federation of sixty-eight national scholarly organizations. The mission of the ACLS, as set forth in its Constitution, is "the advancement of humanistic studies in all fields of learning in the humanities and the social sciences and the maintenance and strengthening of relations among the national societies devoted to such studies."
Arts and Humanities Data Service (UK)
The AHDS is a UK national service aiding the discovery, creation and preservation of digital resources in and for research, teaching and learning in the arts and humanities. The AHRB funds research and postgraduate study within the UK's higher education institutions and provides funding for museums, galleries and collections that are based in, or attached to, higher education institutions in England.
Association of Research Libraries (USA)
ARL is a not-for-profit membership organization comprising the leading research libraries in North America. Its mission is to shape and influence forces affecting the future of research libraries in the process of scholarly communication. ARL programs and services promote equitable access to and effective use of recorded knowledge in support of teaching, research, scholarship, and community service.
The Association articulates the concerns of research libraries and their institutions, forges coalitions, influences information policy development, and supports innovation and improvements in research library operations. ARL operates as a forum for the exchange of ideas and as an agent for collective action.
Australian Academy of the Humanities
The Academy aims to advance knowledge of, and the pursuit of excellence in, the Humanities. The general disciplinary areas of the Academy include:
