General information:

Te Waka Toi has five funding programmes and each funding programme has a different aim. The funding programmes and their aims are:* Heritage Arts - to support projects that contribute to the maintenance and preservation of the heritage arts of Maori * Te Reo - to support projects that promote and strengthen the use of Te Reo, oral and written, across artforms * New Work - to support the creation of original artworks by tangata whenua across artformsIndigenous Links - to support projects that strengthen links between tangata whenua artists and the indigenous peoples of the Pacific and other nations * Experiencing Maori Arts - to support projects that provide opportunities to experience Maori arts.



Application dates:

The closing dates for applications to the 2006-2007 project funding rounds are 5pm, Friday 28 July 2006 and 5pm, Friday 23 February 2007.
