General information:

You can put forward a song to be included on one of NZ On Air's hit disc New Zealand music compilations. NZ On Air produces five series of New Zealand music hit discs for radio - Kiwi Hit Disc ("commercial music"); Kiwi Gold Disc (classic hits); the [heatseekers] Indie Hit Disc ("alternative music"); Iwi Hit Disc (Maori language and kaupapa music); and A/C Hit Disc (adult contemporary repertoire). The discs are sent to every radio station in the country. Our objective is to make sure that every radio station in the land has a good supply of New Zealand music that is suitable for airplay. Criteria * New Zealand music. * Airplay potential.

Application dates:

No set closing dates.

There are six issues of Kiwi Hit Disc a year and four each of Indie Hit Disc and Iwi Hit Disc. The A/C Hit Disc and the Kiwi Gold Disc are occasional series.
