General information:

The Fulbright New Zealand Senior Scholar Award is for artists, academics or professionals with distinction to pursue mid-career research or practical experience in the US. Entitlement* up to US$30,000 including return travel (a partial or travel-only award may be offered if you receive funding from other sources) * basic health and accident insurance cover up to a maximum of US$50,000 * the opportunity to participate in various programmes and activities available to Fulbright scholars in the US EligibilityAt least one award is offered each year. To be eligible, you must: * show professional distinction, leadership potential and the ability to be a cultural ambassador for New Zealand * have a post-graduate qualification or the equivalent professional or artistic training or experience * provide a full medical certificate if selected for interview * be a NZ citizen

Application dates:

1st June annually
* interviews will be held in Wellington in June
* you will be advised of the outcome of your application by mid-July
