New acquisitions at the Classics Museum

Victoria University and the VUW Classics Museum have recently acquired a broad range of pieces by way of the Lindsay Mason Bequest, which includes pieces from 1500 BCE Petra and bronze sculptures cast and exhibited in 20th century CE Baghdad and London, by the Iranian artist Makki Hussain.

Join the Wellington Classical Association at the VUW Classics Museum to acknowledge the Lindsay Mason Bequest and the gift of Bichrome Cypro-Geometric pottery and Archaic terracotta sculpture from Cyprus, donated to the Museum on behalf of the Wellington architect Ross Martin Hill, along with further recent small acquisitions to the Collection.
