It’s About Us: Annual New Zealand Diversity Forum

Conference

Celebrate diversity, share best practice, discuss practical action on race relations, review the past, plan the future, acknowledge positive contributions, network and be inspired

Programme

Sunday 22 August from 12 noon

Whakatau, community workshops, community events

Monday 23 August 8.30 am – 7.30 pm

Plenary, keynote speakers, topical forums, diversity awards

Personal journeys, social media, indigenous rights, racial discrimination and harassment, equal employment opportunities, Māori participation in local government, media and religion, teaching diversity, race and sport, diversity and disability, refugee issues, interpreting in health, diversity research, specialist forums and more.

The Forum is a partnership between the Human Rights Commission and a range of New Zealand Diversity Action Programme participants, including the Settling In programme, the New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO, and others to be confirmed.

Weekend workshops, no charge, Monday $50. Online registration is now open.
