Forum on Cuba - “50 years since the revolution”

Seminar

The Forum will examine many aspects of Cuban society and how this fascinating country has developed in an internationally hostile climate since 1 January 1959. How can a poor country manage both, a lower infant mortality rate than its powerful near neighbour, the United States, and have the highest proportion of people over 100 in the world? How does their economy actually work? What’s the culture and literature scene like? What are the people like?
